About the teacher: Namaste, my name is Ramya Chiplunkar, and I got my yoga teacher certification from SVYASA Yoga University in India. I am a software engineer by profession, and am also pursuing a PhD from Johns Hopkins University. As a single working mom of 2 beautiful girls, life can get busy, and I have found my grounding with Yoga and Meditation. Teaching yoga is my way of giving back to the community and sharing my passion. My teaching methodology is rooted in traditional Indian yogic philosophies and emphasizes mindfulness and using breathing techniques with the postures. Yoga to me is a spiritual practice of self-awareness and physical body flexibility is an added benefit.
